Remember how pleased I was when I found a nice little Hitachi angle grinder on Amazon for £36?
I ordered the 230V model & received the confirmation email stating the 230V was ordered. The grinder arrived...110V. The Amazon website tells me that it will 'allow' me £3.62 postage to return the grinder and if it goes missing it's down to me!
I followed the customer services link and entered my phone number in the relevant box, which brought an instant call from the far east somewhere. The young lady who spoke fluent broken English was very nice, she insisted on calling it a grin-der...as in grin (smile). She tells me that the 230V are on a 3 week back order and they must have thought the 110V would do the job. She has very kindly sent me a new email with a printable returns address label. So I am back to square one, no grin-der and for now, down £36.
I'm awaiting the brushes for my old grin-der with baited breath.
