Hi,

I've got to build some little external doors for some cubby holes in a rendered block wall. There's a timber frame that is flush with the render and I want to hide the joint so am looking for some sort of external full overlay hinge. I was thinking that these were called cranked hinges but I'm not sure that's best. Any thoughts?

How would that work? The piano hinge would need to be fixed to the outside edge of the frame?

Perhaps I'd be better off building an inset door and then a face frame to hide the render/door frame join.

Thats why I asked if the door completely overlapped the frame.
