Hi,

I'm both a new home owner and a new Power-tools-too-powerful-for-me-to-safely-handle owner and I'm starting a few projects.

One is taking a sideboard and changing one of the Drawers and turning it into a shelf (for our Digibox) and using the drawer front as a fold down front, kind of like a drinks cabinet but on a smaller scale. My trouble is I don't know what piece of ironmongery I need to make sure that the drawer front folds down and out securely, can anyone give me some suggestions on the best/safest way to do this?

Regards,

Pete

A picture would be helpful to see the usage context... Not sure if a piano hinge is what you would be looking for.

Stormer and Gromit Thank you,

between the two of you you've given me the two exact things I had in mind but not the vocab to track down, you're both stars.

I like this forum :D

Cheers,
