Anyone opted to turn their sander into a sharpening system like ...the axminster one, which starts at a ridiculous £400
Ive a couple of makita sanders, and thought if i did that I could use one of them and a shop made jig, along with a hermes belt,which go up to 1200grit(probably higher), which is more than enough for a fine edge and would only take a fraction of the time.
Anyone tried this ? Just I really hate standing for hours slowly putting on a chisel edge. Really really bugs me but no chance im spending £400 plus.
