Downloaded some scroll patterns which are quite good. I posted a short cut here a few weeks back. Anyway here is the start, pattern laid out and stated cutting and cutting. There is a bit of sanding to tidy up before it's traditionally stained to match and french polish.

Anyway I made the shelf a month or two ago so here is the home to where the work will sit,

The board that has the scroll work on will be cut down to the top of the scroll work.

All comments good or bad welcome

Many Thanks

what a great practical use of the scroll saw, it looks lovely and compliments the wood so well. I am looking at the length of the piece, it seems quite long, so would like to know th throat depth of your machine or did you cut it from both ends inwards..

It was a challenge to start with as it's 16" throat, with a 24" lenght of wood, but ended up easier than thought first off. End to end in as you said.
