Help: Record 077A

I seem to have lost the threaded spindle and adjusting nut for my Record 077A block plane. It must be on the workshop floor somewhere but I'm buggered if I can find it!
Has anybody out there got a spare?

The words "Rocking horse" and "droppings" spring to mind whenever the topic of replacing such parts crops up in our workshop.

I wish I could help, but have you tried using a magnet during your search?

If you resign yourself to the bits you have left being no good now and bin them, the missing bits will turn up very shortly after your bin has been emptied. DAMH... etc. etc.

Always try and keep a spares bin/box/bucket handy for such occasions and you'll be surprised just how often things turn up when you least expect them. :wink:
