Help Please! Looking for a specific tool!

Years ago i worked with a guy from thye UK who had a pair of pliers....they looked like channel locks, but they had gears in them, so it basically multiplied the force of the pliers. These would be perfect for a job i have to do. I remember him saying that they cost around $70, but this was about 10 years ago. Any information you guys could provide me would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Here's what I think you're looking for, Knipex pliers. They are rather impressive. I think you can get them at Sears too.
