Hope you don't mind me posting just to say hi. I have been looking for a good UK woodworking forum for a while and found your one by luck today. :D

I am a cabinet maker by trade and spend to much time and money on tools and playing with wood, I guess maybe there are people here I have some things in common with!

Thank you

Steve \:D/

All I have done so far this evening is eat and look through all the posts and amazing pictures you have here.
Better hope you don't stumble on the Rogues Gallery then, or it'll put you right off your grub.

Welcome to the forum.

Cheers, Alf

Here are a few pictures of my work for you all to have a look at.

1.Extending Oak table with walnut x-banding (with leaf fitted)

2. Plasma TV cabinet. (Oak)

3. And another oak table. With 2 extending leaves. The top is dry tongue jointed.

I work in oak quite a lot :)

Hi Steve - very nice work!

Oak is without doubt my favourite wood, especially for traditional-style furniture - so double-welcome from me as well
