I have been fortunate enough to pick up several yew limbs from work. I have roughed a few bowl blanks and wrapped them in newspaper. These will be transferred indoors today. I still have one substantial log to deal with, and I'm not sure what to do with it. The log is around 1.3m long and has a 300mm diameter at one end and 250mm x 200mm oval at the other. Bearing in mind my lathe is a Myford ml8 I am a bit limited in the sizes I can work with.

So apart from "post it all to me" can anyone suggest how to process this before it starts splitting on me?

Thanks
