This is my first post here. I thought it would be good to share some of your ideas as I am fairly new to woodworking. I have been making Whirligigs (spinning garden features)
Does anyone else here have an interest in these? They are traditionally an American folk art.
Anyway, I have designed one and produced a few so far. I am looking to design some more in future.
I will try to attatch a pic so that you can see it.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you and sharing ideas.
Regards
Pete

Here is another pic.

The "Jayne", spins by two peg gears driven by the sails. There are more than 57 componants in this, all handcrafted from recycled timber. (Not including the hardware)
