Hi gentlemen,

New to the forums here, so thought it would be polite to say hello first before I start to bother you with all sorts of questions and nuisance!

Totally new to woodworking, my partner and I bought a big old house about 18 months ago and I've been doing bits and bobs of DIY along the way which has led me onto converting the garage into a disgrace of a woodworking shop where there is much sawdust, swearing, blood, sweat a few tears and surprisingly a few good projects so far!

I've definitely got the bug about making my own things now so if anything turns out ok I'll share it along they way!

Pretty new too but hi, and nice to see that you appear to have found woodworking via the same route - needing to do stuff on an old house + initially not enough money to pay tradesmen = forced to learn some things myself and turn what was going to be a big garden shed into a big woodworking shed instead... and, all because, wait for it, my wife suggested it!

I try not to tell her that I'm now probably spending as much on tools as on getting someone in to do the work.. ahem.
