Hegner Blade clamp tip.

A simple tip for the Hegner scroll saw.

My saw is sited in the garage surrounded by other equipment, (wife’s description rubbish), if and when a blade broke, I would always have trouble finding the bottom blade clamp which would end up on the floor, my solution to paint a number of the clamps bright yellow, and always use these as the bottom clamp, I have never had trouble locating the clamps since, and I have now had my Hegner for many years.

I did say at the start it was a simple tip. #-o

Hi Chris thank you for the tip,as Gary says the simple ones are the best.My age and eye site have dimmed over the years and my bottom clamps will be yellow asap.

I have one of those telescopic magnets thingies and just sit there and drag it around the floor and find it that way . But a good idea all the same for anyone with a cluttered base. :mrgreen:

Hi Eugune I have magnetic reach rod but with it being painted yellow it will help us older people to see it quicker.

Great tip, Chris, but what about when you can't see as far as the floor?

I think I ought to buy a couple of spares for when I can't find the one that dropped, like today. I'm going to make a box to fit underneath to catch them.
