I bought a RP m33 to 3/4 16.....it’s absolutely fine... in actual fact the chuck I have run so much better...if you need one get one... there fine
 
If you get one you can make your own wooden fixturng to suit whatever your doing....I do.
The RP one is £20.....very well made

Extending the spindle with an adapter and putting the chuck further away will contribute to more vibration but if you are working with relatively short turnings it shouldn't be a problem.

I've ordered the RP adaptor I linked to. No doubt, I'll be buying another chuck in the future (probably a SC4 as all my jaws are from RP) with a m33 thread to avoid the situations Paul mentioned.
