I recently purchased a Workzone bench grinder with sanding belt from Aldi.
It was only £29.99 so I was not expecting perfection but on the second starting of the machine suddenly heard a rumbling and the machine started to shake. I immediately turned it off and on inspecting the grinding wheel i found that the retaining nut had come off completely. It was fortunate that the safety guard stopped the wheel from coming off the spindle or there could have been a serious accident/injury.

So if you buy any power tools from them please check them over to make sure everything is secure before using them.

It can apply to tools and machinery from anywhere not just chiwanese stuff, its always a good idea to check that all nuts n bolts etc are secure before starting any machine and then at frequent intervals during its lifetime.

That applies to all Chinese junk I bought a SIP table saw and when I started it up the motor fell out with the blade spinning

sounds like a "fill your pants with fear" moment!
