Has anyone tried the 'Bow FeatherPRO Featherboard' ?

I have a few of the plastic ones, but noticed that when placed horizonatlly, these ones also help to stop the board from lifting, meaning you don't also need a vertical featherboard?

Are they any good? better than the plastic ones?
