Has anyone got a viceroy lathe that they could give me the spindle thread dimensions
I believe the thread is 1.5” x 8tpi
What size is the register dia and length?
And the thread how long is that?

If this is the Viceroy wood lathe you are asking about yes it is 1.5" x 8tpi, register face is 1", 1/2" of that is length of thread.
Outboard end is 1.25" 8tpi LH

If you Google viceroy tds6 you will find all the info including full lathe specs and tech drawings they realy are superb lathes.
Also the outboard thread is 1.25" left handed Axminster will cut any thread you need into their chucks

Edit: 8tpi RH thread
If this is of interest on this thread.... I have made a tap set, to make chuck inserts for this lathe. That is 1 1/2 8 tpi to any more common chuck threads
I am also making an 1 1/4 9 tpi left hand tap set for the other end of the head
If anyone needs threads cutting in chuck adapters or faceplate let me know

Oh yes please. I'd like one of each, and going to a 35mm male.
