Handrail Bolts

Trying to find where to buy handrail connector bolts, the type which are used to join handrails end to end.
Screw thread to one end , the other end is threaded and has a circular nut with recessess for tightening using a centre punch.
Used to be readilly available but the supply seems to be diminishing.
Any ideas of a good supplier?

Try looking at Zip bolts. They are an interesting development

Do a search for wood to metal dowel.

Or Richard Birbidge do them and call them "rail bolts" should be able to get from anyone who stocks their stairparts though I think they come with standard nuts.
