Our 12v B&D Dustbuster's battery has expired and an Official replacement is nearly as much as a new one!

Any recommendations for a new device - I am not too impressed with this B&D as it was quite expensive and did not last that long?

We had 2 B&D things in succession and they were very poor. Bought a Dyson handheld a couple of years ago and it's superb if a little heavy. Was VERY expensive at the best part of £100 though I think there's a slightly cheaper version.

Used for all sorts (I even suck up flies from the air with the thing - little blighters don't stand a chance

Picked up a hoover HH about 3 years ago at a car boot
for just 50p. I would be lost without it now. Good suction
quite a large dust bag. The down side is, it is quite heavy
although it means her in doors has not nicked it.
Willy.
