A long time ago when I was at college I was kindly given this not to use but of interest. :ho2
I think it has never been used and it still has the shops coded price written on it in ink.
Unfortunatly there is a bit of inlay missing it looks like ivory.
Makers mark Wm Marples & Sons "Hibernia" does anyone know any more about this?

Try and get hold of Reg Eaton's book - "THE ULTIMATE BRACE". It's the standard text if you want to know about these.

Unfortunately....it's been devalued by writing the price on it, but even so I would be happy to give you a quid to take it off your hands!

Seriously though...one of these little gems in tatty condition would fetch quite a bit of money these days and one in pristine "as new" condition would be highly sought after.

I wouldn't worry too much about the inlay but it can be repaired if you were fanatical about getting it back to total orginality.

Great thing to have and thanks for sharing. =D>
