Hammer A3-31 Drive Belt Replacement

Following a chat with the Hammer chaps in Milton Keynes it seems that I need a new drive belt. They can order one from Austria - belt about £10 postage about £11 (possibly plus VAT, I did n't ask when I heard they did not have it in stock).

They could only tell me it was a V belt 1340mm x 8mm. I have spend some time googling for this but cannot find anything that seems to match.

Has anybody had to replace this item and if so where did you get the replacement please?

Is that 8mm wide or deep if its deep its an A section belt

Might I suggest you measure the pulleys
Firstly the internal width and the depth. Then measure the diameters of both and distance apart (centre to centre) if you also allow for the amount of adjustment for tensioning you will be able calculate the pulley size you need

or simpler measure the old one???
