Thanks for the kind words, folks. Sorry for the delay replying...
Lee - as Henning says, I was under the impression it's an Archimedes drill. Mine was my dads, and features a brass 'collar' and is very useful for small drilling jobs where a dremel would be too bulky.
Trigs (and anyone else, come to think of it) - you are more than welcome to pop over and give it a shot if you are in the area. It still needs a little work on the fret ends and action adjustment, but isn't too bad straight off.

The ukes are coming on nicely, so hopefully a few more techniques to learn there
