Has anybody tried the "Storme" jig that Axminster are now selling? It looks very much like a clone of the Wolverine, but includes all the bits that are add-ons for the Wolverine and therefore it comes out at about half the price.
Secondly, as I'm sometimes a bit heavy handed when grinding (used to drive the bosses bonkers when I was an apprentice 45 years ago) is there a definite advantage in using the 1425 rpm grinder that Axy sell?
I've thought about the Tormek or one of it's clones, but I can't really run to that expense and I've also heard that it's really only any good for honing and takes ages if you want to use it for anything else.
Finally, could you use the the Profile Pro-Gouge setting tools with the Storme or Wolverine jigs? It appears to mr that they wouuld be too short and are only any good for systems that clamp onto the tool close to the wheel al la Sorby or similar.
