I did this a whille ago. But just found the images.

One rusty box.

More rust and green.

Standard UK Fire Hose connector. The bolts are Long lock and the nuts are plain.

This came to light when the box was being de-rusted. It could not be saved.

Getting the paint on. This is known as the flange tin.

Cleaning the brass.

Latter shade of paint was applied.

New seals all round,

No I don't. But have driven one in the past.
There is one on a nearby farm there is a Civil defense one waiting restoration.
