Gothic mirror, old or new and wood id please

I recently bought this mirror to use as a back fitting in a bar I'm building in my house, I was told it was fairly old and from a church and assumed it would be oak, but now I have it I'm not so sure.
The carving is a bit crude and for its size (1500 x 1300) it's fairly light, the ply at the back holding the perfect mirrors in has felt pen marks on it so I'm thinking it could be something that was made in the far east fairly recently. A part of the molding on the bottom had been knocked off at some point so I've sanded the back to show the grain.
Either way it will be fine for what I want it for but I'd like to know for sure if it is actually old in which case I'll be carefull not to effect its originality, or if it's fairly modern (read not worth what I paid for it!) I'll not worry to much about adapting it to better suit my needs.

It will be fine with a few optics in front of it...

The first pic suggests cheap mahogany to me. As for age, I'd say earliest would be 1990's

My guess is Philippine mahogany, that's the kind of work they were making for export a few years ago.

Regardless of its heritage, personally I think its a very nice piece and since the back won't be on display should look pretty impressive in the setting you have in mind
