My woodworking is gradually improving from a zero base and is largely being learnt through reading books and forums and watching youtube. Oh, and through reflecting on colossal numbers of mistakes. It's fine though because I enjoy it nonetheless.

However, I am changing to part-time working later this year (gradual retirement) and would like to do a bit more - but preferably also learn some skills from someone that knows what they're doing.

So can anyone recommend any courses within a sensible distance of south Buckinghamshire? Or fancy a (free) "apprentice"?

Thanks

Are you within commutable distance of Peter Sefton? If so, that’s where I’d go.

Smart move by the way, you won’t believe how quickly face to face training will shoot you up the learning curve. There are a few people who succesfully train themselves, but not many and if they do it’s because they’ve got the discipline of a Grenadier!
