Hi my better half is wanting to make hairbands/clips for our grandaughters and has mentioned needing a glue gun.Now this might also come in handy in the workshop  You see where this is going  Has anyone got any recommendations of which gun and different glue sticks that would serve both material and wood?

I've just got a gun from http://www.gluegunsdirect.com - I needed something for some production work, lots of choice of glue and different nozzles. I went for a TEC 805 - good price with glue sticks included.

Thanks Unib i will check them out ive never used one before and dont know how good or bad they are.Have you used them?

The glue sticks they sell there are a world apart from the ones you'll get from the sheds, there's a glue for everything! I've got some TECBOND 7713 which I'd just playing with for fixing ply - the trouble is, when you have one you spend all your time looking for stuff to stick together!

The green Bosch one made by Steinel is good for the money and has outlived Rapid and Packer brand guns for me
