I'm looking to install glass shelves using this type of bracket (or similar):

Plenty of brackets to choose from but I've not been able to find any advice on how deep I can have the shelves. Clearly given the cantilevered design there is a limit and the fixing will have a bearing on this.
Initial idea is in the range of 180/220 mm but just the glass alone (6 mm) is going to be heavy enough to worry me and I'm wondering if this is a goer design wise.
Anyone here with experience of this type of fixing who can help with advice etc?
