Had a giant wood wasp flew into the open workshop today. Never seen one before so had to look up what it was.

should come an see the xuggers here...sound like little bombers...

one thing here u need to watch for is miner bees n mud wasps...anything with a hole is fair game.....
part of the table saw fence has 2 deep holes for allen screws and the hollow end of the blade spindle...
yep u guessed it, full of mud.....hahaha...well until they hatch....
chairs from Ikea and the like, u must use the grommets in the screw holes and or use fix it tape.....
These do no harm, just a bit annoying buzzing around looking for another hole to fill....
I won't kill em...ex bee keeper....
It's as u know very hot here, muddy puddles really dont happen often....
had a water main burst under the gravel drive.....exposed and repaired it but the mud in the hole was just to inviting
for the insects.....left it open till the mud dried.....
sat with a coffee for a while to watch....yes I'm sad like that.....hahaha.....
already got bird boxes up just need a little more scrap wood for the bat boxes.....
and
when my barn/workshop is built it'll get an Owl box on each end....
u just gotta help the critters...
