hi lads i treated myself to a german scrub plane off ebay brand new for £26 inc p@p
it was here in 4 days so it was to the grinder today to camber the blade .
1st impression is of a well made tool i think its beech with a lignum sole very comfy to hold and performs very well .
i was thinking as i have little experience of wooden planes would you linseed oil it now or in a few weeks .i am sure the climate in germany isnt to far away from ours would like your thoughts please

Quick wipe with shellac will do all that's needed. In particular linseed ain't going to do anything helpful (or much at all) to LV.
