After sitting down tonight to relax there was a knock on the door from one of my neighbours. He said he had just finished fitting flooring to his home and had some boards left over if they were any good to me. he had brought me eight 8' lengths of AWO t&g boards all wrapped in plastic! He wouldn't accept anything for it either. Looks like I owe him one. :D

Maybe making him or his wife a small hand made present might seal a friendship.

What ever happens it was a very nice gesture indeed

Cheers

Mike

Must admit Mike I was thinking along those lines myself, but what to make in Oak that they may like? A small jewellery box perhaps? :?

what about bread board or a boot jack, simple but effective. nice haul though

Excuse my ignorance, but what does AWO mean?
I have googled it and found:
AWO American Waterways Operators
AWO Arbeiter-Wohlfahrt (German club for workers' welfare)
AWO All Weather Operations
AWO Awilco Offshore Asa (Norway)
AWO Animal Welfare Officer
AWO Anime World Order (podcast)
AWO Adult Warrant Officer (UK Air Training Corps)
AWO Arab Women Organization of Jordan
AWO Air Weapons Officer
AWO Asymmetric Warfare Office
AWO Action Work Out
AWO Active Wall Outlet
AWO African Women's Organization (Chicago, IL)
AWO Area Works Officer (or Office)
AWO American Waterways Operations
AWO All Worship One
AWO André Wentzo Organisation (French: Andre Wentzo Organization; Toulouse, France)
AWO Another Weird Ordeal (online game)
AWO Associate Warden of Operations (correctional facilities)
AWO Animal Welfare Organization (various organizations)
AWO Another Way Out (various organizations)

None of which seems appropriate.

John

P.S.
I just worked it out. American White Oak!
