Garage Workshop Roof Insulation

I have access to some supended ceiling tiles, approx 25mm thick. Are they any good to insulate the corrugated fibre cement roof of my garage? Both sound and thermal insulation will be a bonus. I am currently insulating as I go with celotex offcuts I can pick up for pennies as I have no budget, but can probably get enough to go a double layer of these tiles. As there is a bit more work and additional weight gettting them installed, I'd be grateful for your experience / opinions

They will certainly reduce noise by a little, the degree depends on your installation. As to insulation that very much depends on the material they are made of
