When young Christopher left his family home in Falmouth and walked from Cornwall to London...I don't think even he, with his wild ambitions of seeing the streets of London, paved with gold...would have dreamed that one day...many centuries later, his work would cover the globe.
It's marvellous to see the great man's works in the far flung New World...and it makes you wonder...was this accompanied by a craftsman to a new life all those centuries ago...or did someone in Oz buy it on Fleabay!?
I'd like to imagine the former...I really would.
Excellent find my friend and as you say..superb condition. Just looking at that familiar mark...I guess you know what fascinates me about this particular genius!?
