Friction polish & burnishing cream...

... seem to have gone up a lot lately for those of us with shallow pockets.

Does anyone know of possible alternatives, eg if lac might be cheaper for the friction polish?

Maybe T-Cut or cheaper equivalents?

Toothpaste contains abrasive....might work out cheaper to just buy proper compound though

Ok, thank-you.
My almost-gone burnishing cream, used after Rustins Plastic Coating, already leaves annoying bits of white in any indents, so I think I'll not be trying the toothpaste : ) , at least, not on wood. Perhaps on acrylic, but I already find Brasso good for that.
I'll have a look for cheap T-Cut-alike.
No substitute for friction polish?
