... seem to have gone up a lot lately for those of us with shallow pockets.

Does anyone know of possible alternatives, eg if lac might be cheaper for the friction polish?

Toothpaste contains abrasive....might work out cheaper to just buy proper compound though 😄

My almost-gone burnishing cream, used after Rustins Plastic Coating, already leaves annoying bits of white in any indents, so I think I'll not be trying the toothpaste : ) , at least, not on wood. Perhaps on acrylic, but I already find Brasso good for that.
I'll have a look for cheap T-Cut-alike.
No substitute for friction polish?
