Free Reclaming Wood

Yup, my local tip wont allow you to look at anything with an eye to using it. They sell furniture that is still whole, but "anything that is already in the bins is not allowed to be removed by you or us"

I saw a whole book collection being poured into the waste paper section on Sunday. Couldn't believe my eyes!

I get my wood from my local wood reclamation centre. The wood is good, the people are nice, the prices are cheap and they help others in the community to get some work and experience. I say support them!

I would be careful of using second-hand shops for furniture, esp. bedroom stuff. You can find 'critters' in the cracks and crevices. I.e., Cimex lectularius.
