I am a relative newcomer to wood turning and I bought a Fox lathe about 6 months ago and the drive belt has broken. I have contacted the importers and they are sending me a new belt (free as lathe is under 1 year old) but would appreciate advice on where to obtain new belts from a source close to home in West Wiltshire. Any comments would be most gratefully received.

Thanks

Welcome aboard Ted
I sourced a much needed belt from a local bearing supplier who seems to stock related products... as Alf suggests, peruse the local yell pages.

Chronos (in the UK) do a plastic type belt which can be cut to length and easily 'welded' with a hot knife... prob make a useful standby...

Thanks for the help, I have managed to source some at a company in Chippenham. If anybody is looking for any the designation is SPZ0630.
