the nice thing about it, it has a metal strike cap fitted not that i ever want to strike it but its cool.

when ever i saw these or ebay i always thought they where abit of a gimmick until i saw this one at a booty for 50p, a really clean example of Yankee lookalike its fantastic just need to get some more bits for it

Try to get an adaptor for it and you can then use any hex screwdriver bits

The Philips screwdrivers were made up from parts from LV ..

Phillips2.jpg

Don't forget to hollow grind the flat blade drivers ..

Screwdrivers3.jpg

Multipurpose screwdrivers can be made from quick-change drill holders (not the magnetic type, where bits can fall out) ..

Stanley handplane levercap screwdriver made from an old turnscrew ..

Planescrewdriver4.jpg

Turnscrews are also good for split-nut drivers ..

.. and don't forget that small braces not only drill pilot holes, but make damn good drivers as well ..

Nice shapes those Malcolm. I have a few vintage ones...the really large tipped ones that are great for "engineering" work.

I had a look at your work too...simply love the jewellery box mate...lovely piece.
