Ahh Charley, I think you forgot to rename this to:

UKwoodrat.co.uk during the changeover.

What an oversight

Hi Charley

Thanks for that. One thing I have noticed, and it is probably not new, is the "sticky" posting. I assume this keeps the posting in a fixed position?

How does a posting become "sticky"?

Thanks
Neil

Neil,

Sticky posts aren't new, AFAIK. When you start a new topic you get the option to make it "sticky" at the bottom of the message window. At least I do, but maybe it's a mod/admin thing?

That sounds very nasty, I hope it's not catching.

The sticky thing must be a moderator option.

I saw (forgive the pun) it used for the first time on Adam's comparison of the Jet SS and the Scheppach. Interestingly, AK, made the Jet SS his recommendation for the under 1,200 section in this months GW.

Up the proverbial creek
Neil,

Yep, I think you're right and it is a mod thing. Doesn't seem to be an option on this board, where I'm not a mod. Looks like you'll have to bring your own glue then... :D

Cheers, Alf

Charley modified it recently to be "sticky"

As he said, he can't stand aluminium for surfaces, so it is the only contender in that price bracket I believe.

Fox certainly have one and I think that Record Power do one as well.

'Sticky topics' are probably pinned to keep them at the top.
email about rodents? that's nothing. On another forum someone is asking for help because he tried to get rid of a rat by pouring neat Jeyes fluid under the floorboards & the smell is filling the house & he can't mask it. lmao
