I needed to make two brass brackets and tried forming them over MDF:

One of the key steps was coating the MDF in superglue

I annealed the brass a couple of times during the forming

The final finished pair of formed supports.

Actually, not quite finished as I need to clean them up and add spacer bars.

Very nice work Sir. One of the "accepted" methods of doing such work (NOT that this takes anything away from the finished job). How thick is the brass, and what limits/tolerances did you have re dimensions (I'm assuming this tank needs to fit into a pre-defined space, and that the lower space is for another tank, e.g. cooling water)?

Hi AES,
Thanks, I didn't tolerance it, more of a trial and error fit as I made the tank a couple of weeks ago. The lower space is just to make it look lighter.
The plan is to put some braces between them.
I will share more images of it soon.
Best regards, Nigel
