Approx 25 years ago I bought a Record CL3 15x36 lathe and a Record RP3000 chuck. After a few years use it was dismantled and lay under a workbench in my garage until very recently when it was brought back to life. Unfortunately the chuck manual has long departed this world I have taken a photo of the chuck sections and lettered some of the pieces that I remember Part A Lathe spindle thread protector Part B Chuck body. Part C tighten ring

I've got one of those too. It came free with my RP lathe. I didn't get the C spanner with it, and the body is a bit rusty. Other than that it's fine though. I use it mainly as a faceplate and as a screw chuck.
If I ever get the body to unscrew I might try the other parts. I wonder what the chances are of being able to buy a C spanner on its own? I suppose I really should have a look.

I once had a chuck body siezed up on a spindle but a standard 1 inch AF open ended spanner and a set of medium sized stilsons soon had it sorted out followed by a good dose of WD40.
