A bit different for me
The hollow form measures 2 inch in height, wall thickness 3mm

Materials:
Boxwood and ebony, lacquer finish
Resin filler
Oak - stained with spirit stains
Fibreboard

That looks very nicely executed, smashing finish. For my taste the foot's a little too deep, and maybe the collar too [not sure] but that's just personal preference. The quality of workmanship looks faultless.

I think you`ve put together a very interesting "assemblage" (couldn`t think of a better word!)
The spiral staircase-type object seems quite dominant. Perhaps that was your intention? I don`t know if the hollow form and the staircase are fixed to the base, but I`d be inclined to experiment with the spacing (and therefore the relationship) of the three elements. It`s great to see something which incorporates turning, yet goes beyond the conventional and predictable.
Well done!

Ian
