Best tapering jig i've seen. might have a go at making one myself :wink:

I am impressed with the jig but the assertion that, quote "but commercially availalble jigs didn't feel safe" is blown away when watching it being used. Ok the obvious no guard when there easily could have been, and it wouldn't have obscured much for demo purposes. That aside, when he reached around the still spinning blade to flick away the waste I winced, anyone slipped on sawdust when leaning forward? As for messing about trying to locate a bit of wood onto a pin while the blade is spinning full tilt and the other end of the wood is about an inch away from said blade, I just couldn't believe it.
Whinge over. Trouble is I have had safety thrust at me for the last 28 years,

Yes I agree, but this is an American production where woodworking can needlessly get very scary.
