flashing avatars

I note that my avatar a flashing JJ does not seem to be working. I have just read the new forum rules but I read it that flashing commercial avatars are not allowed.
My avatar was a personal creation. Please advise.

As far as I'm aware there is nothing stopping anybody's avatar from flashing. But, as you rightly point out, it is only animated commercial avatars that are not allowed.

I must say that I can't remember your avatar flashing for some while.

No it isn't John, not on my machine at time of posting anyway.
