Fixing Faulty Impact Driver

Hi guys,

My impact driver suddenly stopped working in use. After it stopped I tried depressing the trigger and after a short while the handle became hot to touch and a little bit of smoke was emitted from the handle/trigger area.

The impact driver is a Sparky GUR 12, which is a re-branded Trend T50 (apart from the colour, the Sparky has NiCd batteries, while the Trend uses Ni-MH)

Could it be that the switch is faulty?



Any help would be much appreciated.

We can only guess but it sounds like a faulty switch. If you want to know what's wrong and order parts then you're going to have to open it up for a looksee.

Buy pass the switch if it works then buy a new switch
