Information no longer required as just spoke to very helpful guy at Blum. Thanks for looking.

Hi

I have some Blum 75T1750 hinges and 173L8100 mounting plates with Bluemotion 973A clip ons to use on wardrobe doors I am making. The doors are frame & panel (18mm oak rails & stiles, 6mm veneered mdf panels) and will be inset.

To assist I purchased the following:
http://www.rutlands.co.uk/brand/blum/hi ... -plate-jig
http://www.rutlands.co.uk/hand-tools/dr ... hinge-mate

As I have only ever used this hinge type on flat pack furniture, where everything comes prepared and usually for overlay doors, I have the following (probably stupid) questions please: I cannot find the model nos I am using on the Blum website so could not find answers there.

1. What size should the door be in relation to the carcase opening i.e. if opening is say 1650mm x 500mm what size should door be?
2. What is the best way to ensure that the hinge and mounting plate will line up - do I mark the mounting plate, using the jig first, and then transfer a line from the centre of this to the centre of the stile and then line the hinge jig up on this? Or is there a simpler and better way?
3. Is there anything else I need to watch out for while doing this job?

As usual your help would be appreciated.
