I thought that as I've entered this years challenge I'd better make sure I could load some photo's as I don't want a mad panic at the end of the month. Anyway here are two of my recent attempts, the first one is a small hollow form made from sycamore, as it was plain I experimented with a green stain and black on the inside, it was then coated with sanding sealer and polished on the Chestnut buffing wheels which I was lucky enough to get for Christmas. The second one is a Mulberry Vase turned wet and oiled and once again polished on the buffing wheels once dry. It stands about 11" tall by 4" wide, the hollow form is about 5" x 3". C&C welcome but I know I've got to work on the photo's so this was more about being able to load them.

Steve

Hesh,

I would be delighted to have turned either of these ... well done!!

As for the quality of the photos, they are better than many on this forum!!!

Keep up the good work,

Mike.

as well as the form of the first, which I find very appealing, I really like the treatment of the sycamore; makes it look 'woody' and interesting!
