Thought i would post a few pictures of jobs i have recently done with my new Festool plunge saw. They have not been painted yet but fitted them today so thought i would post some piccys. The saw has made jobs like these a joy to make.

This job the customer wanted a small cupboard making to look like a rad cover:

Nice one jase,
think i might have to take a closer look at the festool saw when my rebate comes through.

Wow - you've sold me - lovely looking work.

I looked at the Festool recently as my el-chepo Circ saw is not up to much but was kind of put off by the price, though I think I'll just have to bite the bullet!

Lovely work - I especially like the rad cover, very nice idea.

Thanks everyone

Aren't the radiator covers difficult to open without handles?

No not at all, because there on concealed hinges the doors dont go flush with the frame so you can easily just pull the bottom or top and they open. They did not want handles at all because of the radiator cover effect, the handles would give it away that it was a cupboard

Thanks again all

OK Jase - nice work indeed. I'm dithering between the festool and the eurekazone system at the moment. I was slightly put off by the comments about the festool's 'bad sounding noise' that another thread commented on - what do you think of it?

Absolutely fantastic !!!!!! no negative points at all. Great to use, accurate, and so smooth on the guide rail.

i've ordered a 3m rail today to save joining the 2 off 1.4's i have at the moment. I also ordered the combination angle unit.

Expensive ? yes !!!! but worth every penny and it soon pays for itself when your cutting sheet materials a lot.

I use an earlex as an extracter with it and that works great with the MDF dust, would not like to be using it without one.

Thanks for that... The reviews with respect to utility are uniformly enthusiastic. I was just torn by the apparently cheaper Eurekazone system (which is essentially an equivalent set of guide rails/zero clearance sacrificial bits, but designed to accept any circular saw or router)

However, by the time I've bought one with a couple of extras and replaced the 12 year old cheapo circular saw, I'll be up in the same cost ballpark as the festool - and the specific point about MDF dust is key, and a number of reviews comment on the effectiveness of the festool saw's collection. Soooo, much as I hate buying at the top end of the scale, this one looks likely..

I really liked the fitted bedroom, wish I could do stuff like that.

Only comment would be to suggest you investigating undermount drawer runners such as the Blum Tandem. You can get them as full extention soft close version too, which are now the only types I use. Cost is around £20 a pair which is a lot more than the type you are using, but customers will pay more for them.
