Fueled again by watching youtube, I thought I would have a go at inside out turning.
I found it very difficult to visualize the form when turning the inside.
I also struggled to keep things straight. The sides of the slats are are a bit irregular.

I am not sure about the result.
It does look a bit like it has been crushed ready for recycling.

Anyway, it was fun to do.

That looks pretty good from where I am sat Ian. My 1st try was not very good and for a challenge my second was a 3 bit job that I really liked and then onto an 8 bit!. That was quite exciting :? :?

I too found it difficult to imaging what it would look like the right way round. I didn't like the blue candle so I turned a mold and made a red one. It looks much better IMHO

The glass fits in the center and looks rather nice with the sunshine on it. It won't cause any problems because the focal length is so short.
