First bowl

I watched a friend turning some spindles and became entranced! Since then I've been to a Record Power demo (great skills by Craig!), had a one day course locally and refurbished a Union Graduate.

Here's my first completed bowl, I found an interesting looking piece of wood in the firewood pile. I think it's burr elm. As it was destined to heat the house, I wasn't too concerned if I trashed it.

Looks more like Chestnut burr to me :-k

Oh - chestnut. Could easily be - I trimmed a lot of both in the winter of 2018. Thank you.
