Finishing oil

I have been using finishing oil on some small items i have made in various hardwoods and I am very impressed, especially when an item has had three thin coats, there is a nice sheen to it. I was wondering if there was any way i can enhance the finish as the items I make will be going on show. many thanks in advance.

It's fairly normal to use a finishing coat of wax over oil.

If you apply the wax with a wad of '0000' wire wool, rubbing it in with the grain it will de-nib at the same time.
