finishing drawers

you have probably heard this before but what do i put on the sides and back of a drawer.i have waxed the interior as i made it.also do you stain it to match table construction.
 
I generally use a contrasting wood for the drawer box and leave it finished but unstained or waxed but usually sealed.

Normally only the front is finished to match the rest of the table (or whatever it is) and everything else left completely natural, but you can do what you like.
As ever the answer to this question can be found by looking at one or two examples of appropriate pieces of furniture.
Looking at stuff is an amazingly powerful secret weapon!
